Siemens Gigaset 2402
- The Gigaset 2402 is the first compact system to operate
entirely at 2.4 GHz for extremely clear cordless reception, virtually eliminating
all interference. Additionally, the Gigaset 2402 has Adaptive Differential
Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) voice coding for extremely high cordless voice
quality and Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology for high security.
The basic system includes a 2-line desk and wall-mountable compact base unit,
cordless handset, handset charger, cords, batteries, and manuals. Additional
handsets and chargers are available too. The handset is slim, lightweight
and allows you to intercom with other handsets. It has an internal antenna,
backlit graphical display for Caller ID information, and headset jack. The
desk and wall mountable charger includes LED indicators, charges a spare set
of Ni-CD or Ni-MH AA rechargeable batteries in a separate compartment, and
recharges the handset.
- Expandability. The Gigaset 2402 is also the first compact cordless communication
system that offers complete expandability. Now you can add cordless handsets
one at a time as needed. And with the ability to add up to eight cordless
handsets per system, the Gigaset 2402 grows with your needs.
- Advanced Calling Features. The Gigaset 2402 virtually does it all. It supports
one or two incoming lines, simultaneous internal and external calls, conference
calls, call transfer, intercom, page, has LCD screens that handle Caller ID*
and Caller ID on Call Waiting*, individual directories, redial, a room monitor
feature, and customizable ringing tones. Each of these 2402 features can be
accessed from up to eight cordless Gigaset handsets at locations around your
office or home.
- Superior Reception and Security. With the Siemens Gigaset phone system,
you no longer sacrifice call clarity and security for the convenience of cordless
phones. ADPCM digital voice encoding gives you remarkably clear reception
(uses a 32Kb channel - same as sophisticated telephone network equipment).
Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology provides high security, ensuring
that your calls are secure from eavesdropping by randomly changing the frequency
at which the signal is transmitted over 100 times per second.
- Multi-Line, Multi-User Capability. The Gigaset 2402
allows multiple simultaneous conversations. This system allows both internal
and external calls simultaneously. Now you can make calls to outside parties
as well as internal handset-to-handset calls / paging at the same time. It
supports 2 phone lines and is expandable up to 8 cordless handsets, each with
its own extension number. Each cordless handset can be programmed to answer/access
line 1, line 2 or both. Up to 4 handsets can be used at the same time, with
up to three separate simultaneous conversations possible.
